EXO's Xiumin released from military, to hold livestream with fans this December 12

K-pop boy band EXO's member, Xiumin, has recently been released from his mandatory military service on December 6.

Xiumin posted a message for his fans and a recent photo of him through mobile app Lysn.

Korean Herald translated his message as follows, “Everyone, I've been discharged. Have you all been healthy and well? Thank you so much for waiting for me. We've gone through a hard time. Hard times are over! Happy times begin~”

Xiumin enlisted in the military in May 2019 and had his final military break in November. He was discharged directly on December 6, directly from his home rather than an army base due to COVID-19 prevention measures.

He is the eldest EXO member and the first member to complete mandatory military service. EXO member D.O. enlisted last July and will be the next member to be discharged in January 2021. Meanwhile, Suho joined the army this May followed by Chen in October.

In celebration of his return, Xiumin will be holding a livestream with his fans through the social media app V Live on December 12, 7PM (KST).
