According to Forbes Asia, the inaugural 100 Digital Stars highlights singers, bands, and film and TV stars from across the Asia-Pacific region who “have taken the digital world by storm.”

“With their powerful social media presence, these trailblazers have garnered millions of loyal followers across popular platforms, making them as famous online as they are on stage and screen.”

In this year's list, Forbes Asia focused on celebrities who despite the canceled physical events “managed to remain active and relevant, largely by using social media to interact with their fans, raise awareness, and inspire optimism.”

Jackson Wang has been included in the coveted list thanks to his wide range of fans across the globe thanks to being a member of the Korean boy band GOT7 and his booming career as a soloist.

It added, “Last year, he won 'Male God of the Year' at the Weibo awards in Beijing -- [an award] given to a star who combines talent, popularity, and style.

“In the same year, he was a guest at James Corden's U.S. talk show Late Late Show. He is also China's brand ambassador for Fendi, and this year launched his own label, Team Wang Design.
