'Patay na si Hesus' to stream on Netflix starting December 20

The dark comedy film Patay na si Hesus is the latest Filipino movie to make it to Netflix.

The 2016 Cebuano movie directed by Victor Villanueva will be available on the popular streaming platform starting on December 20.

Patay na si Hesus tells the story of Iyay who went on a road trip from Cebu City to Dumaguete to attend the funeral of her estranged husband.

Accompanying Iyay is her three children, namely, Hubert, Jude, and Jay.

Multi-awarded actress Jaclyn Jose top-billed the movie and joined by Vincent Viado, Chai Fonacier, Melde Montañez, Mailes Kanapi, Harvey Quimbo, and Therese Villarante.

Patay na si Hesus received positive reviews from viewers and critics.

The film won the Audience Choice and Gender Sensitivity Award at the QCinema International Film Festival 2016, and the Jury's Choice award at the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino.
