Netflix Philippines releases 2020 Most Watched K-drama list

Streaming sites and applications had an unprecedented 2020 performance with the increase of their subscribers during the beginning of COVID-19 pandemic. People all over the world turned to these platforms to find entertainment in the form of TV shows and movies while staying home.

K-dramas also increased in popularity and have been consumed voraciously on these platforms.

Netflix Philippines saw a spike in Korean drama fans as more recent K-dramas went available for viewing on the platform soon after its TV airing.

Among the most-watched K-dramas in 2020 was The King: Eternal Monarch, which received mixed reviews from TV critics and K-drama fans. The show's lead stars Lee Min-ho and Kim Go-eun captured the curiosity of Netflix subscribers. A recent K-drama called Start-Up starring Suzy Bae, Nam Joo-hyuk, and Kim Seon-ho became a hot topic on social media throughout its airing and easily made its way into the list.
