GOT7's Youngjae sends a message of gratitude in new song 'Everything For You'

Fresh from the promotion of their new album “Breath of Love: Last Piece,” GOT7 member Youngjae is not wasting his time to use his talent to promote another important message to fans: an appreciation for all the organ donors around the world.

The track, titled “Everything For You,” was released on December 11 with the lyrics divided into two parts: the first verse is from the donor's point of view while the second is a song sung by the beneficiary. It is a message of gratitude to the donors and their bereaved families and a letter of appreciation from the life-saving act's beneficiaries. Youngjae wrote the heartwarming track with the help of composer Lee Sang-hoon.

It reads in English, “I'll give you everything, like the starlight of hope / I'll give you everything, I want to give it to you / Everything, everything / We can become hope / Everything for you.”

The campaign is in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Welfare of South Korea (MOHW) and the Korea Center for Disease Control and Prevention (KDCA).

In August, Youngjae made a meaningful pledge to the cause by registering as an organ donor.

The news was revealed by the K-pop idol in Kwanghee and Jo Soo-bin's Sharing Room Guest, where he promoted the cause.

He said, “Organ donation is something that can be a blessing for someone -- something that can bring one person happiness or hope.

“I've always thought it looked really cool and admirable when people who pledged to become organ donors had the symbol on the bottom of their driver's licenses.

“By signing up to be an organ donor, I feel like I'm becoming a cool person, so I'm grateful for the opportunity.”

Aside from his recent single, Youngjae is also gearing up to star in the new Netflix sitcom I Wish the World Would End Tomorrow, where he will play the Korean-American student named Sam, who is the son of the head of a global food chain company.

The sitcom will tell the story of love and friendship between international students who have gathered at a university in Seoul.

He will star alongside Park Se-hwan, Shin Seung-hyun, and (G)I-DLE member Minnie, who will be making her debut as an actress.

I Wish the World Would End Tomorrow will be produced by Kwon Ik-joon and Kim Jung-shik, the same names who produced the series Nonstop and High Kick, respectively.
