Mavy Legaspi wants to work with Kyline Alcantara on his first teleserye

By Aaron Brennt Eusebio

The Legaspi twins have been slowly carving their own paths in the industry that their parents, Zoren Legaspi, and Carmina Villarroel, loved so much.

In 2021, Cassy will be seen on GMA's primetime show First Yaya, which stars Gabby Concepcion and Sanya Lopez, while Mavy will host the comedy-gag-variety show Flex on GMA News TV, alongside Lexi Gonzales, JD Domagoso, and Althea Ablan.

In an intimate virtual interview, GMANetwork.com asked Mavy about his plans in 2021 aside from hosting Flex and the talk show Sarap 'Di Ba? with mom Carmina and sister Cassy.

He said, "Siyempre, tuloy pa rin ang AOS tsaka Sarap 'Di Ba? But, my goal for 2021 siyempre is to really make a bang for Flex."

"I'm really focused on that also. And, of course, when the opportunity arises na magseserye ako, I will take it kasi I'm really just preparing right now.

"It's not because na parang wala pang show now, wala akong preparation. Siyempre, with the support of my parents, since actors din sila, actress din sila, they already know the preparations that are needed.

"So for 2021, sana magserye na and 'yung Flex talaga, kumbaga it's our show, e."

Flex is a comedy-gag-variety show that will feature Gen-Z artists to do musical performances, gags, sketches, and talent competitions.

Since Cassy's loveteam in First Yaya is their good friend JD Domagoso, who also happened to be one of Mavy's co-hosts in Flex, Mavy revealed that he is open to be paired with anyone, but he wants to work with Kyline Alcantara.

Kyline is part of GMA Afternoon Prime's drama, the TV adaptation of the hit 80s movie Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit, alongside Mylene Dizon and Ms. Nora Aunor.

Although Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit will continue to air until next year, the show's taping has already concluded.

He said, "Siyempre, I'm really, really fine working with everyone pero siyempre may dagdag impact 'yun 'pag friend ko na talaga 'yu[ng ka-loveteam.]"

"Kyline's like, that will never go away kasi siyempre close ko 'yun si Kyline, e.

"Siyempre si Kyline, gusto ko maka-work, I know her craft very well, she's really good."

Aside from Kyline, Mavy also wishes to work with Ysabel Ortega, Kisses Delavin, and Kate Valdez.

"There are so many other artists pero siyempre, homerun talaga 'pag friend mo," Mavy said.

"And I think it will give me a nice boost kumbaga kasi siyempre, if ever magserye ako, it's gonna be my first so I want to be as comfortable as possible."
