Celebrities shower Julie Anne San Jose with praises after her big win in the 33rd Aliw Awards
Multi-awarded Kapuso singer Julie Anne San Jose made a huge noise in the recently concluded 33rd Aliw Awards after she won two major awards.
Dubbed as the Asia's Pop Diva, Julie Anne bagged the recognition for Entertainer of the Year and Best R&B Artist.
The All-Out Sundays top artist took to Instagram to share her thoughts for winning two prestigious categories in the Aliw Awards.
She said, “Maraming salamat sa Aliw Awards sa pagkilala at parangal. Ibinabahagi ko po ito sa mga kasamahan natin sa industriya na patuloy na nagsisikap at bumabangon para makapagpasaya sa mga tao.
Julie added, “Maraming salamat po. Napakaimportante po ng parangal na ito sa akin. Mabuhay ang OPM at ang sining! To God be the glory.”
Several big names in the OPM industry also congratulated Asia's Pop Diva including Lani Misalucha and Angeline Quinto to name a few.
This year will be one of the most memorable years for the one and only Julie Anne San Jose. Aside from the successful run of the all-original musical competition The Clash, she was tapped by Netflix to sing the cover of the theme song of the hit animated movie Over The Moon. She earned numerous praises from netizens and celebrities alike because of her performance.
Julie shared her excitement about this amazing collaboration with the streaming giant, “I am so excited to share my collaboration with @netflixph to sing and film my own cover of 'Rocket to the Moon,' the official theme song of the new Netflix film, 'Over The Moon'. To those who haven't watched the film, the movie is now streaming on Netflix.
“I hope you will enjoy the movie and find inspiration in it. I love how Fei Fei takes us to her journey in discovering the magic of life and love.”
Last month, she also dropped a new single "Try Love Again" under her record label Universal Records.
And next year, Julie Anne is set to return to acting via a new drama Heartful Café on GMA News TV.
According to the statement released, Julie will be joined by some of the brightest Kapuso stars, including David Licauco, Zonia Mejia, Jamir Zabarte, and Andre Paras.
If you remember, Julie Anne was also cast as the lead actress in the daytime romcom series My Guitar Princess in 2018.
