Jackie Rice plunges into first lead role via afternoon series 'SISID'

Beginning May 30, GMA Network welcomes its second quarter with an exciting splash for its afternoon offering about a young girl's pursuit to discover a lost treasure that she believes would bring her eternal love and stacks of fortune. Join Starstruck Season 3 Ultimate Female Survivor Jackie Rice as she once again graces the afternoon block in the compelling drama entitled SISID. After starring in various primetime offerings such as Dyesebel, Panday Kids, Darna and Ilumina, Jackie marks her first lead role in the high rating afternoon block of GMA-7. With this new character of hers, Jackie underwent extreme diving lessons and acting workshops to give more life to the character of Eden, a loving daughter and the only woman pearl diver in the island. Viewers will not only watch out for her diving and acting skills, but also her alluring figure that will tantalize every man young and old, including her three leading men: Dominic Roco as Sigfried, Eden's one true love; Survivor Season 1 winner JC Tiuseco as Ahmed, childhood friend of Eden who is secretly wishing for her love; and fellow Starstruck alumni Ian Batherson as Dexter, Sigfried's best friend who will also fall for Eden. Joining them are veteran actors headlined by Bembol Rocco as Don Segismundo, Sigfried's father; Angelu de Leon as Alicia, Eden's devoted mother; Daniel Fernando as Hamil, Eden's father; Alicia Meyer as Alona, ambitious mother of Sigfried; Maricar de Mesa as Perla, Hamil's relative; and Tata Mara as Akhim, Ahmed's father and leader of the community. Not to be left behind are the country's next generation of superstars: fellow Starstruck survivor Rich Asuncion as Frida, Perla's niece; Bela Padilla as Monique, Sigfried's ex-girlfriend; Ynna Asistio as Gina, Eden's closest confidante; Marc Acueza as Samuel, Sigfried's younger brother; and Marco Alcaraz as Chad, Don Segismundo's comrade. Sisid entails the story of a young girl Eden in search for the lost pearl that she believes will give her luck. In her journey, she meets the love of her life, Sigfried. He is enchanted by the beauty and golden-heart of Eden but his family won't allow the love they share for each other. Will the love they share surpass the test of time?
