Mayor Vico Sotto jokingly addresses Pinoy EXO-Ls, 'Hindi po ako member ng EXO'

Ever since Vico Sotto became the Pasig City Mayor in 2019 and shot to nationwide fame, more and more K-pop fans have noticed his strong resemblance to EXO member Do Kyungsoo or more popularly known by his stage name, D.O.

In a tweet posted on January 1, Mayor Vico reported on the situation in Pasig after the city's New Year's celebration.

"May mga matitigas ang ulo na nagpaputok pa rin kagabi. Pero malaki ang ibinaba ng bilang nito kung ikukumpara sa nakaraang taon.

"-Over 200,000 worth of small firecrackers were confiscated.

"-Only 3 injuries at PCGH, likely the lowest count ever.

"-No injuries from stray bullets."

One Pinoy EXO-L who goes by the handle @kaimnidae on Twitter replied to Mayor Vico's tweet and said, "THANK YOU ALL EXO MEMBERS," in reference to his resemblance with the aforementioned K-pop idol.

This short reply caught the mayor's attention which prompted him to reply, "Hindi po ako member ng EXO," soliciting all kinds of funny reactions from Pinoy EXO-Ls.

Comparisons between Mayor Vico and Kyungsoo have recently become more prominent online especially when his old yearbook photos surfaced on Twitter where the mayor is seen sporting a buzzcut similar to that of the K-pop idol.

EXO-Ls the world over are also excited while awaiting for Kyungsoo's return to the industry after his military discharge on January 25, 2021.
