EXO member Baekhyun recently wrapped up his first solo online concert titled “Beyond Live - Baekhyun: Light” on Sunday, January 3.

The K-pop idol attracted more than 110,000 viewers from more than 120 countries worldwide, as announced by his agency, SM Entertainment, which included countries like the Philippines, France, the Netherlands, Russia, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

For his first solo concert, Baekhyun performed a total of 23 songs -- both solo and EXO songs -- including his debut track “UN Village” and his latest single, “Amusement Park,” which was just released this December.

After performing the song “Get You Alone,” off of his upcoming Japanese solo album, the singer commented, “Isn't the stage as sexy as me? I was contemplating what kind of gift I should give fans, and I decided to reveal a few songs from my Japanese mini-album that's coming out this January 20.”

As a member of K-pop boy group EXO, he also slayed his solo performances of “Call Me Baby” and “Growl” that had the singer revealing he was out of breath after performing the set.

He expressed, “I was really out of breath. Singing these songs on my own after having sung them with my members. EXO songs are tough. Singing them alone made me miss them so much.

“I think something new will come out this year. It's hard to sing on my own, so I have to sing with the others soon.”

Aside from his outstanding performances, Baekhyun also gave viewers a taste of the music video for his single “Get You Alone” before it premiered on several video-sharing platforms like YouTube and VLive.

Before his encore performance, Baekhyun joked that he is eager to have a 24-hour offline concert with his fans once the coronavirus pandemic is over.

He said, “In the comments, I saw someone say that I'm someone who can do everything, so even I believe that. But all of this is only possible if you guys are with me. Without all of you, I don't feel motivated to do such things.

“After this COVID-19 is over, let's have a 24-hour concert offline. You can't go home, and you have to stay trapped inside.

“I think Lee Soo-man gave me the superpower of light so I can always stay next to all of you. I'll stay next to you for a long, long time. I'll keep working hard and growing, so please show me lots of love.”

Baekhyun's concert is the latest in SM Entertainment's ongoing “Beyond Live” online gig series.

“Beyond Live” utilizes the latest augmented reality technology and allows artists to interact with their audience in real-time. The concert series made its debut in April through the virtual concert by SM Entertainment's boy group SuperM, which Baekhyun is also a part of.
