These Hollywood films will be shown on GMA in 2021

A few minutes after midnight on January 1, 2021, GMA Network announced its newest offerings of afternoon dramas, primetime shows, and variety programs, both on GMA Channel 7 and GMA News TV.

In the 10-minute plug, GMA Network also announced the acquisition of local and Hollywood movies that will air on free TV this year.

From critically-acclaimed and commercially successful 2018 movie A Star is Born to romantic-comedy film Crazy Rich Asians, here's a list of Hollywood movies which will be shown on GMA this year.

A Star is Born

A Star is Born is the directorial debut of American actor Bradley Cooper, who also stars in the film as the hard-drinking musician Jack. He falls in love with a young singer, Ally, played by Lady Gaga.

Crazy Rich Asians

Crazy Rich Asians is based on the 2013 novel of the same title by Kevin Kwan. The film stars Constance Wu and Henry Golding with a cameo of the Philippines' Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino. The movie follows a Chinese-American professor Rachel (Constance Wu), who travels to Asia to meet the family of her boyfriend, Nick (Henry Golding). Unknown to Rachel, Nick's family is considered to be one of the richest names in Singapore.

Bumblebee

Bumblebee is the sixth movie in the live-action Transformers film franchise. The movie is centered on Bumblebee, one of the main Autobot characters in the film series.

The Nun

The Nun is a spin-off of The Conjuring 2, and the fifth movie in the Conjuring Universe film series. The movie focuses on a demon nun, an incarnation of Valak, and the journey of a Roman Catholic priest and a nun in their journey to uncover an unholy secret in Romania in 1952.

Ocean's 8

Ocean's 8 is the all-female spin-off and continuation of the American heist comedy film series Ocean's. The movie tells the story of Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock), the younger sister of Danny Ocean, who plans a sophisticated heist at the annual Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

Mission: Impossible - Fallout

Mission Impossible - Fallout is the sixth installment in the Mission: Impossible film series with Tom Cruise reprising his role as Ethan Hunt. In the film, Ethan and his team track down a missing plutonium while being constantly monitored by a CIA agent.

Rampage

Rampage is an American science fiction monster film headlined by Dwayne Johnson. He plays a primatologist who teams up with George, an albino gorilla, to stop two other mutated animals from destroying Chicago.

Men in Black: International

Men in Black: International is a spin-off of the Men in Black film series starring Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson.

Charlie's Angels

Charlie's Angels stars Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska as the new generation of Angels who work for a private detective agency.

Jumanji: The Next Level

Jumanji: The Next Level is a sequel to 2017's Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle with Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Nick Jonas reprising their respective roles. The film takes place two years after Welcome to the Jungle.

The Angry Birds Movie 2

The Angry Birds Movie 2 is a sequel to the original Angry Birds Movie, which was based on the popular mobile game, Angry Birds. In the movie, the birds team up with the pigs to save their homes.

The Meg

The Meg is an American science fiction action film based on the 1997 novel Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror by Steve Alten. The film tells the story of a group of scientists who encounters a 75-foot-long megalodon shark while on a rescue mission in the Pacific Ocean.
