Sunshine Dizon wears a new hat this New Year as she takes on the role of an associate director for Sanggre Production Inc.'s first original series for 2021.
Sanggre Productions Inc. is founded by the original Encantadia stars Sunshine, Iza Calzado, Diana Zubiri, and Karylle together with their director Mark Reyes.
They announced their first project in 2018 and released the movie Mystified the following year. Their venture and dream project proved to be fruitful when it won as the "Best Single Drama or Telemovie" at the Asian TV Awards in January 2020.
In July, Direk Mark teased that Sanggre Productions Inc has resumed operations in the new normal and that another project is in the works.
And while details were kept confidential for a few months, Direk Mark and Sunshine have finally revealed their latest pursuit. In fact, today marks their first shooting day for their original series for We TV titled B&B: The Battle Between Brody and Brandy.
Direk Mark shared about their preparations, saying, “My associate director and co-producer for #bnbthebattleofbrodyandbrandy @m_sunshinedizon hard at work planning her shots for our Day 1 shoot tomorrow.”
Sunshine also posted a photo of her in the director's chair and wrote, “This is it!”
According to conversations online, B&B: The Battle Between Brody and Brandy is a romantic-comedy series that will be top-billed by Iza and Ian Veneracion. Other cast members include Lovely Abella, Emmanuele Vera, Ketchup Eusebio, and Ian Ignacio.
While Iza can't be seen on the set yet, she sent a message of support for Sunshine.
She posted on her Instagram Story, “So proud of my soul sister @m_sunshinedizon on being an actor/producer and director! So happy to see you realize this dream of yours, Ga. Makes it more special that we get to do this, together with the girls!”
B&B: The Battle Between Brody and Brandy is slated to be available on the streaming platform, WeTV.
