Maricris Garcia gives birth to baby girl
January 12, 2021 was a special day for Kapuso singer Maricris Garcia and her husband, TJ Cruz, as they both welcomed their daughter, Adaiah Denise Garcia Cruz!
On Tuesday evening, Maricris announced that she has successfully given birth to a healthy baby girl at exactly 8:14 a.m.
She said on Instagram, “01-12-21 at exactly 8:14 a.m. our daughter, Adaiah Denise Garcia Cruz, was born.
“No words could ever describe that overwhelming feeling the first time you hear your child cry.
“I still can't believe I carried you inside me for 9 months! How can another human grow inside my body?!? How?!?”
Maricris concluded, “Life truly is a miracle and a gift from God. With Him, nothing is impossible.”
The comments section of Maricris's posts was filled with congratulatory messages from her friends in the industry and her fans, who were able to witness her pregnancy journey through social media.
Actresses like Sheena Halili, Barbie Forteza, LJ Reyes, Chariz Solomon, and so many more couldn't help but gush at how adorable Maricris's daughter looks at first glance.
Chariz Solomon penned, “Maricrissy, congrats ulit maaaars!!!!”
Sheena Halili added, “Parang doll! Congratulations!”
Meanwhile, a fan wrote, “Congratulations to my all-time fave singer, Ms. Maricris. God bless your family. Love lots! Such a cutieeee baby girl.”

It was back December 16, 2016 when Maricris married her non-showbiz husband ang longtime partner TJ Cruz in a beautiful wedding ceremony at the San Antonio de Padua Church. Her principal sponsors included singers Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez, Jaya, and director Louie Ignacio.
In May 2020, nearly four years after tying the knot, the couple announced that they're expecting a child.
At the time, Maricris said that their child was an answered prayer.
“Walang mapagsidlan ang aming tuwa! Sa wakas, dininig Niya ang matagal na naming dasal. Ngayon pa lang, mahal na mahal na kita,” she wrote, along with a photo of her and TJ's hand holding a pregnancy test.
Maria Cristina Garcia, or Maricris Garcia, is the grand champion of the third season of Pinoy Pop Superstar. She won the competition with her rendition of Barry Manilow's “One Voice” during the show's grand finale held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
