Fans of 2nd generation idol groups, get ready because K-pop boy group 2PM is officially making a comeback this 2021!

As announced by JYP Entertainment, the boy group will make a return to the music scene following Junho's military discharge this coming March 20, 2021.

According to the South Korean entertainment agency, the group will make a full return as a six-member group, namely Jun. K, Nichkhun, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, Junho, and Chansung.

In a press release, the boy group remarked that they're looking forward to seeing their fans.

“With all of the members together, we're excited to greet you with good content. Please look forward to 2021, that is chock-full of 2PM.”

Although the group has not made a full comeback since 2016 due to the members' military service, many of the boy group's hits continued to spotlight and be enjoyed by younger, newer K-pop fans.

To note, their 2015 hit “My House” surged in popularity last year thanks to the many covers of younger idols, including Stray Kids, MONSTA X, and Pentagon.

At the time, many fans showed their affection for the second-generation idol group by saying that the group has a unique sound compared to other idols, leading people to seek out fan-taken videos of 2PM performing the song.

In celebration of the sudden attention it received, JYP Entertainment released a special video of the sextet performing the song at their “House Party” concert before each of the members enlisted in the military.

Take a look at the videos below:

2PM is a South Korean boy band formed by JYP Entertainment with members Jun. K, Nichkhun, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, Junho, and Chansung.

Originally part of a larger group known as One Day, the boys were then divided into two sub-categories, namely 2AM, the four-member ballad group, and 2PM, a seven-member hip-hop group, with former leader Jay Park leaving the group and agency in 2010.

2PM is known for their tough, macho beast-like image during their debut, veering away from the pretty boy image that was adopted at the time.

The group debuted with the single “10 Jeom Manjome 10 Jeom,” which showcased their skills in acrobatic dance styles.

Some of their popular songs include “Again and Again,” “Hands Up,” “Promise (I'll Be),” “Go Crazy,” and so much more.
