Korean actor Jung Il-woo cooks Sandara Park's favorite Filipino dish

Korean actor Jung Il-woo treated his close friend, former 2NE1 member, actress-singer Sandara Park, or Dara, with some popular Pinoy dishes that Dara loves.

In a video posted on Jung Il-woo's YouTube channel 1DAY 1LWOO JUNGILWOO, he shared, "I'll be cooking some Filipino food for Dara. Actually, I've never been to the Philippines before. I've never been there, but I tried my best to search for information on YouTube."

He told Dara, who was his guest for the video, "I also looked up 'the favorite Filipino menus of Dara' and I watched your YouTube videos too. The first menu is 'Beef Kaldereta' and the second menu is Seafood Sinigang. I wanted to try too when I saw you eating that dish."

Dara brightened up after hearing from Jung Il-woo that he'll be cooking for her. She said, "Sinigang is my favorite! It's my favorite menu out of all Filipino food."

A typical Filipino dish can't be complete without rice, so Jung Il-woo added, "The third one is a simple but delicious menu...garlic rice. Those are what I'll be cooking for my dear friend of 13 years, Dara."

Looking very touched at Jung Il-woo's effort, Dara revealed, "It's simple, but I don't know how to make it. I mean...who else is going to cook the Filipino food for me in Korea."

While preparing for cooking, Jung Il-woo recalled an incident when he was traveling to Thailand for work and Dara happened to be there for a commercial shoot. He said, "We ran into each other by chance in Bangkok, Thailand a few years ago. So I met you when I was traveling after work. So I remember meeting you and going out to eat just like that."

Dara agreed and added, "It was so good to see you even more so because we met in another country."

Jung Il-woo asked Dara, "Where is your favorite vacation spot in the Philippines?"

She answered, "It's hard to choose, but I have to say it's Palawan. That's my favorite spot, because it's all nature there. It's a popular honeymoon spot too. It's probably one of the most expensive spots in the Philippines."

Dara and Jung Il Woo have worked together in the 2009 drama The Return of Iljimae. Jung Il-woo is also known for his roles in Moon Embracing the Sun, 49 Days, Cool Guys, Hot Ramen, and more Korean programs and films.
