Sophie Albert announces engagement with Vin Abrenica
Bihag star Sophie Albert is now engaged to her boyfriend of eight years, Vin Abrenica.
The showbiz couple made the surprise announcement today, February 13, on Instagram.
Sophie uploaded a photo on Instagram with her now fiancé and a picture of her beautiful engagement ring.
Based on Vin's post, they got engaged on December 12, 2020.
The future Mrs. Abrenica is looking forward to spend the rest of her life with Vin.
She wrote in the caption, “Before 2020 came to an end, the love of my life proposed to me. Despite all the challenges we had to face, we were able to close the year filled with so much hope and love as amazing surprises happened in our lives.
“We've been savoring our precious moments and we are ready to share our joy and excitement! WE ARE ENGAGED! Thank you @vinabrenica for everything. Thank you for being you and for making everything special. I am blessed to have you as my best friend for life.”
Meanwhile, the Kapamilya actor was a picture of happiness and posted on social media that Sophie is the right “one” for him.
“You'll never know when you are truly ready until you realize who you're living and breathing for. It's you @itssophiealbert.
“We've grown up together and I look forward to growing old together. Good luck @itssophiealbert, you are stuck with me for life. We're engaged!! 12.12.20”
Sophie and Vin first met in the defunct reality talent search show Artista Academy in 2012 and last January they marked their eighth anniversary together.
The couple received a deluge of messages congratulating them and their engagement.
The well-wishers include: Max Collins, Shaira Diaz, and Jason Abalos, to name a few.
Baby news
Everyone thought that Sophie and Vin's engagement announcement was the biggest news they would reveal this love month.
But a day after, the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Abrenica make another surprise with their baby news.
Sophie proudly flaunted her baby bump on Instagram and thanked everyone for the warm support for their twin announcement.
She wrote, “I can't wait to hold you!
“Thank you everyone for your all warm wishes. Our hearts are full. Happy Valentine's day, I hope all your hearts are filled to the brim.”
Meanwhile, Vin shared to his followers on Instagram his immense excitement that they will be welcoming a precious baby in a matter of months.
The soon-to-be dad posted, “ Soon we get to meet and hold our precious little one! Ahhhh! I can't wait! Gigil!”
Career
Sophie Albert began her career as a commercial and print ad model. The mestiza beauty has foreign blood flowing through her veins. Her maternal lola is Spanish-Italian, while her lolo is of Irish-Portuguese descent.
In an interview with Tunay na Buhay in 2019, Sophie shared the challenges her family had to go through, when she was just 10 years old, after her father got sick.
