'Prima Donnas' receives commendation from GMA Network Chairman and CEO, Atty. Felipe L. Gozon
GMA Network, Inc. Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon gave a rare commendation to the whole cast, creative team, and production crew of the recently concluded, top-rated afternoon drama, Prima Donnas, for its successful, record-breaking run.
Throughout the show's run, from August 19, 2019 to February 19, 2021, Prima Donnas consistently topped the Philippine afternoon television ratings. In fact, the show's February 11, 2021 episode got a record-high 14.2% rating.
Based on NUTAM's data from July 2007 to February 18, 2021, Prima Donnas also got eight spots in the Top 10 most watched afternoon drama episodes in the Philippines.
During the height of the pandemic, Prima Donnas continued its mission of bringing entertainment to Filipinos with an online show called, Prima Donnas: Watch From Home. And when television and movie productions were finally allowed to resume taping, Prima Donnas managed to conduct two safe lock-in tapings with zero COVID-19 cases detected among the staff and the crew.
Because of these achievements, Atty. Gozon himself appluaded the show's staff for their "hard work and passion for excellence," and calling them the company's "best assets."
The commendation memo reads, "It is my great pleasure to commend the creative and production teams and artists of 'Prima Donnas,' the undisputed Top Daytime Program on Philippine television."

Prima Donnas joins the list of high-rating Kapuso programs such as Marimar, Mulawin, Darna, The Half Sisters, and Ika-6 Na Utos that received a commendation from GMA's top management.
