Seasoned actress Aiko Melendez announced the death of her stepfather, Dan Castaneda.

In a post on Instagram, however, the Prima Donnas star did not divulge details of the cause of his death.

She only wrote, "Dad @dancas123 How??? Help me Dad. Pause."

In the comment section, Aiko's celebrity friends offered their sympathies.

Magkaagaw star Sunshine Dizon wrote, "My condolences ate @aikomelendez."

Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit actor Gabby Eigenmann also sent his prayers. He wrote, "Hugs and prayer, sis."
