More than 12 hours since releasing its teaser clip, telecommunications brand Smart has unveiled that Hollywood star Chris Evans, aka Captain America, as the new face of their “Live Smarter for a Better World” campaign.

In the 2-minute advert, Chris Evans inspires people to commit to a more sustainable action through a lasting, positive impact on society after the coronavirus pandemic's shift.

He says, “Let us strive to save what we can, while we can. Share more knowledge to build and not to destroy. Show the ways to heal and not hurt.

“Let us strive to live smarter, to make the world better because it does not matter who, what, or where you are. We have the power to create a better world, not just for our individual selves but for the good of all.

“The world is now on reset and is giving us a second chance. We have it in our hands to do better.”

As Smart's first-ever Hollywood A-list brand ambassador, it was revealed that the commercial was directed under the helm of Pascal Heiduk, the same director who has done commercial film work for renowned brands like BMW, Montblanc, Mercedes Benz, and so much more.

Smart Communications' President and CEO Alfredo S. Panlilio shares that the campaign aims to empower Filipinos with easy-access technology to spark change for a better world.

He said in a press release, “There's nothing like the current challenges the world is facing to make us all realize that we are all interconnected and that our personal actions have a broader impact.

“Through this initiative, we aim to create that spark in everyone to help change the world for the better rather than just settling for 'good.'”

Chris Evans remains one of Hollywood's A-list stars after successfully portraying Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As many fans of the movies would know, Captain America (also known as Steve Rogers) is a World War II-era U.S. Army soldier who was given enhanced physical and mental capabilities with a supersoldier serum developed by the military and who was later frozen in ice for almost 70 years.

He was then revived in the 21st century and became one of the founding members of the Avengers.
