Filipino-American singer H.E.R., real name Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson, impersonated her Pinay auntie to give a shoutout to all her Filipino fans after winning Song of the Year and Best R&B Song at the 63rd Grammy Awards.

On her Instagram and Twitter, H.E.R. channeled her “Tita Joan” upon hearing her victory at the prestigious awards night.

She said while impersonating her aunt's voice, “My Tita Joan would say, 'Oh my god! I am so proud of you! You have Grammys. Wow! Diamond is that diamond? Even if you don't win, you are still a winner. I like that song 'I Can't Breathe.'”

In the same post, she wrote in the caption, “Shout out to my Filipinos #pinoypride.”

The said post has been retweeted almost 10,000 times and earned more than 45,000 likes on Twitter.

At the said awards night, H.E.R. bagged the Song of the Year Award at the 63rd Grammy Awards for her song “I Can't Breathe,” which was used as an anthem for the Black Lives Matter movement in the United States.

Upon receiving her award, the Fil-Am singer said, “I think the first thing I want to say is that I've never been so proud of being an artist and to everybody else who has been nominated, to me those are Song of the Year also -- they were all amazing.

“You know, we wrote this song via FaceTime, and we didn't imagine that my fear and my pain would turn into impact and turn into, possibly, change, and I think that's what this is about. That's why I write music, and that's why I'm so grateful.

“I want to thank God for giving me a gift and using my voice as a vessel to create change.

She added, “ I'm so thankful for Tiara [Thomas] and D-mile, who were a huge part of this record. I also want to thank my mom. I recorded this song myself in my bedroom in my mom's house. And I want to thank my dad, he cried, and he was in tears when I wrote the song and played it for him. He was the first person I played it to.

“Remember, we are the change we want to see. The fight for us in Summer 2020, keep that same energy. Thank you.”
