After leaving One Direction, Zayn Malik reveals who among the members is his favorite.
Singer Zayn Malik is bringing back the bromance to life between him and One Direction members Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Harry Styles.
Zayn left the group in 2015 to pursue a solo career. Five months later, the group announced a hiatus for the remaining members after five years of five albums and four world tours. Recently, Zayn appeared in a radio show that fueled nostalgia for Directioners after he chose his “favorite” member.
The hosts of the American radio channel Sirius XM's show “Debatable” asked Zayn how he would compare himself to the other One Direction members who had also produced their own music. Zayn tried to avoid answering the question at first and said it wouldn't be fair for him to make a comparison between the members.
Eventually, he did answer and said: “I'll tell you what, Niall's my favorite. How about that? There you go.”

When the hosts asked if he thought Niall was “better than Zayn,” the singer answered: “Yeah, I will say that he makes better music than me. Yeah, I'm a Niall fan.”
Zayn was a guest on Sirius XM where he promoted his new album “Nobody is Listening,” as well as his collaboration with Ingrid Michaelson for the song “To Begin Again.”
In 2020, Zayn welcomed his first child with girlfriend Gigi Hadid.
