Dingdong Dantes reminds public to 'double up our efforts' to stay safe against COVID-19

Isang panawagan ang inilahad ni Dingdong Dantes sa publiko para manaliting ligtas laban sa COVID-19.

Sa kanyang Facebook page, hiniling ng Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real actor sa publiko na manatiling sumunod sa safety health protocols laban sa coronavirus, kabilang na rito ang pagsusuot ng face mask at face shield.

Aniya, "All-time high na naman tayo sa mga kaso ng COVID these past days.

"Experts say that wearing a medical-grade face mask gives you up to around 85 percent protection (cloth masks-around 67 percent), and a face shield definitely adds another layer of defense. In fact, studies confirmed that when combined and worn properly, face masks and face shield give more than 90% protection.

"Siguro naman medyo mas safe na kapag idagdag ko pa itong shield ng helmet na pang-motor, hehe!"

Diin pa niya, "Pero seryoso, we really have to double up our efforts in helping mitigate the Pandemic, while waiting for the vaccine rollout. It is not yet time to relax and be complacent about our wellbeing -- it ain't over yet!

"So, we must make sure that we play our part as responsible citizens.

"I recall this tarp I saw recently that states, “You are responsible for protecting yourself, your family, the community, and the country."

"Pero siyempre, clearer short and long-term plans from our leaders will definitely help us all get through this in the quickest possible time."

Ngayong Biyernes, March 26, nakapagtala ang Department of Health ng record-high na 9,838 na bagong kaso ng COVID-19 sa buong Pilipinas. Ito ang pinakamataas na record sa isang araw mula nang magsimula ang pandemya noong 2020.

Umabot na sa 109,018 ang active cases sa ngayon.

Kasalukuyan, may kabuuang 702,856 kaso na ng COVID-19 ang naitala sa buong bansa; 580,689 dito ang naka-recover habang 13,149 na ang pumanaw dahil sa virus.
