Alexander Lee was born on July 29, 1998 to his South Korean mother and Half-Portuguese, Half-Chinese father. He spent a good part of his formative years in Macau.
Xander speaks seven languages, namely Korean, English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, Spanish, and Portuguese. During his time in the country, he has also picked up a bit of Filipino, as well.
In 2008, Xander debuted in South Korea as part of the K-pop boy group 'U-Kiss' after being scouted in public. Their group is known for their hits such as "Man Man Ha Ni" and "Bingeul Bingeul," the latter becoming one of the highest chart-topping singles in the Philippines back in 2010.
In 2011, Xander left U-Kiss along with his fellow member, Kibum. During his recent interview on the channel JAYKEEOUT x VWVB, Xander revealed that he was pressured by the company to leave due to his "lack of popularity."
Aside from being a K-pop idol, Xander is also a dedicated actor.
Some of Xander's notable projects include '3 Peas in a Pod,' 'Immortal Masterpiece,' and 'Moorim School.'
Xander loves interacting with his fans who go by the name of Xanderettes.
Xander made his Philippine debut back in 2017 when he was announced to be Heart Evangelista's leading man for 'My Korean Jagiya.'
Upon Xander's arrival in the Philippines in 2017 to start production on My Korean Jagiya, he was welcomed warmly by Filipino fans waiting for him at the airport.
When he accepted the role for 'My Korean Jagiya,' Xander admitted that he felt both nervous and excited for his new project.
Heart Evangelista and Xander instantly warmed up to each other when they started filming for 'My Korean Jagiya.'
Even after their show ended in 2018, Heart and Xander were able to maintain a good relationship even upto this day. Xander also dearly misses his My Korean Jagiya castmates.
Aside from 'My Korean Jagiya,' Xander has also appeared in other Kapuso shows such as 'Dear Uge' and 'Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko.'
In 2019, Xander was able to finish his undergraduate studies from Korea University. He graduated with degrees in Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication and Bachelor of Business Administration.
