Broken Vow posts high TV ratings

Broken Vow scores a massive success in TV ratings after consistently outshining its competition in the afternoon prime block.

The original drama series not only performed well in Urban Luzon and Mega Manila but also across National Urban Philippines, according to data from the more widely recognized industry ratings supplier Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.

Based on average households data in National Urban Philippines covering the period February 6 to February 17, 2012 (based on overnight data), the program registered 38.3 share points versus ABS-CBN's Pinoy Big Brother UnliDay's 34.4 share points. For the same period in Total Urban Luzon, which makes up 77 percent of total television households nationwide, it equally toppled competition with 41.6 share points versus rival program's 23.6 share points.

The drama series continued its winning streak in Mega Manila, which now comprises 59 percent of total television households nationwide, after it garnered 41.8 share points against the 22.7 points of the Kapamilya program Pinoy Big Brother UnliDay.

Under the direction of Gil Tejada, Jr., Broken Vow introduced the fresh tandems of Luis Alandy-Bianca King and Gabby Eigenmann-Rochelle Pangilinan as they portray offbeat character roles in the Kapuso drama that tackles love, treachery, sacrifice, and vengeance.

The series is expected to set even higher ratings on the coming days after Melissa (Bianca) agreed to marry Felix (Luis) despite Roberto's (Gabby) relentless appeal to give him a second chance. Roberto is completely devastated because he still loves Melissa and he regrets leaving her on their wedding day.

With her new life as Felix's wife, will Melissa find it in her heart to love and trust again? Will she be able to forgive the person who ruined her life and forget her past with Roberto?

Expect more revelations and twists as the drama continues in BROKEN VOW weekdays after The Good Daughter on GMA's Afternoon Prime Block.
