'The Penthouse's' stars receive nods from the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards

The cast of hit K-drama The Penthouse dominates the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards nominations as six of them namely Kim So-yeon, Uhm Ki-joon, Shin Eun-kyung, Kim Young-dae, and Kim Hyun-soo received nods from the award giving body.

Kim So-yeon is nominated as Best Actress for her excellent portrayal of Cheon Seo-jin's (Scarlet) role, an opera singer who will do anything to get a hold of her dreams, in the high-rating thrilling series.

Uhm Ki-joon, who plays the role of Joo Dan-Tae (Dante), a successful businessman and the main antagonist of the series, will vie for the Best Actor award.

On the other hand, actress Shin Eun-kyung is nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category.

Actors Kim Young-dae and Kim Hyun-soo are nominated as Best New Actor and Best New Actress awards respectively.

The 57th Baeksang Arts Awards, South Korea's prestigious TV, film, and theater awards, will take place on May 13.

Meanwhile, the high-rating South Korean drama The Penthouse is coming to Philippine television and is set to air on GMA soon.

The multi-awarded show stars renowned actors Lee Ji-ah, Kim So-yeon, Eugene, Um Hi-joon, Yoon Jong-hoon, and Park Eun-seok.

Set in the 100-floor luxury penthouse apartment named Hera Palace, the series revolves around the story of wealthy families' hidden ambitions, secrets, and desires to stay at the top. It depicts the hierarchical nature of the rich and powerful and the poor thriving to become influential.
