
Laguna 3rd district provincial board member Angelica Jones is fighting the biggest battle of her life after she and two other family members contracted COVID-19.
The comedienne-turned-politician posted on Facebook on April 10 to give an update on her condition after testing positive for COVID-19.
She has been sharing photos and updates on how they are doing while confined at the San Pablo City District Hospital.
“Me, my mom and Angelo are Positive of COVID-19.
“Humihingi kami po ng inyong patuloy na dasal malampasan namin itong pagsubok.
“Please pray for my mom, Beth Jones, nasa ICU po sya. She has pneumonia and Covid 19.”
Jones added, “Please, really need your prayers 🙏🙏😭❤
“I have asthma, pneumonia, and COVID.. nananalig ako sa Panginoon [sana] di niya kami pababayaan🙏
“In Jesus name.. God will heal me and my family ☝️🙏”
In another Facebook post yesterday, April 13, Angelica shared how they struggled to find a hospital that will take care of them.
Initially, they had to stay in their own house for at least three days. The Laguna board member admitted that during that time she was already having a hard time to breathe.
“[Three] days before po ako i-confine.... nauna i-confine ang aking ina mula lumabas ang result [na] positibo sa COVID..
“Kahit saan puno ang mga hospital ng COVID patients. [Three] days kami nag isolate ni Angelo sa house. Sobrang hirap ako sa paghinga akala ko katapusan ko na. Di ko po alam na may pneumonia at asthma ako nagpositibo sa Covid. Araw araw po ako nakikiusap at nagdadasal sa Panginoon [na] iligtas kami.
“I thank the district hospital [of] San Pablo City.”
“Ginawan po ng paraan [para] kaming mag ina [at] ni Angelo magkaroon ng [room] at iniaalagaan kami ng mga doctor at nurse hanggang ngayon. Sana ay gumaling 🙏🙏🙏
“Hinihiling ko po dalangin sa aking ina hanggang ngayon ay nasa ICU pa🙏🙏🙏.”
Yesterday, the Department of Health (DOH) recorded 8,571 new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infections, which raised the total number of cases to 884,783.
In addition, the number of recoveries climbed to 703,963 with 400 new people added to the tally.
Meanwhile, the total number of deaths is now at 15,286 with an additional 137 people reported to have died on Tuesday.
The Philippines positivity rate was at 18.3% on April 13.
