Sunshine Cruz speaks up against malicious edited photo

Sunshine Cruz asked help from netizens in reporting a spiteful comment from a Facebook user.

On May 11, Sunshine posted a photo of her with her three daughters, Angelina, Chesca, and Samantha along with an edited photo of her boyfriend Macky Mathay.

A Facebook user reposted Sunshine's photo and captioned it with "“Hooooy!!!! Nayabag na si angkol cesar ani. Ctto” [Hooooy!!!! Nabaliw na si Uncle Cesar dito.]

The reposted photo got over 5,000 likes and 5,000 shares.

Sunshine left a comment on the reposted photo saying, "Take this down."

She also asked her Facebook followers to report the user who edited Macky's face to make it look like a different person.

The actress later on posted a status alluding to the incident.

She wrote, "I will never understand why people think making fun of other people is funny. No one has the right to humiliate others. What would you feel kung isa sa pamilya nyo ang gawing katatawanan?

"It only shows the character na meron ang isang tao. Hindi ako humihingi ng respeto pero itrato nyo lang din akong tao. Pareho nyo nasasaktan din ako. Walang ginagawang masama ang pamilya ko kahit kanino."

She also followed up on the incident, and asked for help in reporting another Facebook user who also spread the edited photo.

Sunshine wrote in her caption, "Please report Manila Wetter.

"Sa mga hindi aware, Macky's face was edited. Binago at ginawang porn actor. The comments as you can see are disgusting.

"Let's not tolerate this kind of behaviour here on Facebook. Sadly, it is so easy for others to say nasty things on social media."

This isn't the first time the actress has spoken up in defense of her family against rude netizens. She has also aired her sentiments on people who have sexualized her daughters and asked for respect.
