EXCLUSIVE: Michael V., Manilyn Reynes express support for COVID-19 vaccination program

It's unfortunate news that there's a significant number of Filipinos that are still afraid and hesitant to take their COVID-19 shot.

In a survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey from April 28 to May 2, out of the 1,200 Filipino participants aged 18 years old and above, 35% are unsure of getting the vaccine, while 33% don't want to get it.

On May 25, Pepito Manaloto stars Michael V. and Manilyn Reynes took the opportunity during a media conference with the entertainment press to encourage their fellow kababayans to take their COVID-19 shot as soon as possible.

Direk Bitoy has already been inoculated with the first dose of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, while Miss Manilyn will be getting her second dose of the Sinovac CoronaVac vaccine soon.

A COVID-19 survivor himself, Michael V. told GMANetwork.com that you run the risk of getting infected if you don't get the COVID-19 shot.

He explained, “Huwag n'yo na hintayin magsisi kayo, kasi hindi worth it 'yung pagdi-dilly-dally.

Award-winning comedienne Manilyn Reynes echoed the opinions of her co-star.

Sana lang, sana all.”
