Marian Rivera reveals reason for taking a break from social media

By Jansen Ramos

Marian Rivera finally spoke about the reason behind her break from social media.

In an interview by Lhar Santiago in Unang Hirit, the Kapuso Primetime Queen shared that she felt the need to breathe and unplug for a while amid the concerns and challenges brought about by COVID-19 pandemic.

"Nagpapasalamat din ako sa asawa ko, sabi niya, 'siguro, Mahal, kailangan nating makahinga nang konti," she said.

Marian took a three-week social media hiatus. This may be a short period to respite from chaos for some, but it sure helped the mom of two to regain her sanity and be the best version of herself again after taking a much-needed vacation with her family.

She continued, "So ayon nagkaroon kami ng konting bakasyon, nagpahinga muna sa social media para namnamin namin ang bawat segundong kasama namin ang isa't isa at kasama namin ang mga anak namin."

Marian then added that taking a break from social media allowed her to focus more on the mental health of her kids, Zia and Ziggy, to help them cope with the current health crisis.

The celebrity mom went on, "Alam namin gustung-gusto nila makalabas, lalung-lalo na si Zia.

"Siyempre, nag-school siya before parang ang dami pa rin niyang question, 'kelan aalis ang COVID?' Kelan daw siya makaka-ganito, ganyan.

"At least, kahit sa maikling panahon naigala at naipasyal namin sila."

True enough, Marian is back and she's as fresh as ever after taking her much-needed breather and here is a proof.

Marian does not have a series at the moment to prioritize being a mom to her children.

However, the actress can be seen hosting the GMA drama anthology Tadhana every Saturday.

Moreover, Marian's 2010 series, Endless Love, which she co-top billed with her husband Dingdong Dantes, is currently re-airing on GMA primetime block after First Yaya.
