Pia Guanio completes her COVID-19 vaccine shots

Dabarkad Pia Guanio can breathe a sigh of relief after finishing her COVID-19 vaccine shots.

In her Instagram post, Pia mentioned that she and her husband Steeve Mago are fully inoculated but remain cautious and still follow the health protocols to stop the spread of the highly-contagious virus.

She shared, “Let's go out? Steeve and I are fully vaccinated, yet we still pick and choose the places -- and reasons -- for going out. Knowing that we have kids who are still vulnerable and members of the household that have yet to get their jabs, we only really go out when it's absolutely necessary, and always with our masks and face shields.

“Getting vaccinated doesn't make you covid-proof, it just mitigates the effects, should you catch it. Continue to stay safe and pray for God's protection and deliverance.”

The former Chika Minute host also gamely answered the question of a netizen, who asked her which vaccine she got.

According to her, “It was Sputnik. Didn't want to be choosy. Just to get vaccinated"

Based on the data released by the Department of Health (DOH) as of June 13, the total number of doses administered is at 6,948,549; and 1,879,694 individuals have been fully vaccinated, as well.

The government is ramping up its vaccination program, especially with the total number of people infected with COVID-19 in the Philippines reaching over 1.32 million.
