
Jennica Garcia admitted that her marriage to Alwyn Uytingco started to have problems in March 2021.
Aside from her family problems, Jennica's grandmother also passed away because of COVID-19.
"It started ng March, the failing of my marriage. And that same month, my lola passed away because of COVID," Jennica shared with Aubrey Carampel in '24 Oras.'
"Tapos I was praying to the Lord kasi masyadong magkasunod 'yung malaking event."
Now that she's a single mother, Jennica acknowledged the difficulty of being a single parent.
She added, "Now that I am a single mom, I have to, of course, think of a lot of things that I wasn't thinking about before.
"Iba kasi Aubrey kapag mayroon kang katuwang sa buhay, as in you have a partner in life sa [pagiging solo parent.]"
Aside from the failure of her marriage and the death of her grandmother, a close friend of Jennica also died after a month.
Because of these events, Jennica admitted she sought professional help.
"I find comfort in knowing that everything in this world is ever changing but God's love never changes.
"So I just take comfort in that and I seek help also from professionals.
"I make sure that I meet my doctor weekly, my psychologist."
Jennica confirmed to GMANetwork.com in May 2021 that she and husband Alwyn Uytingco have broken up.
Meanwhile, Alwyn remains hopeful that he can fix their family.
Jennica will make her showbiz comeback in Las Hermanas, portraying the role of Brenda.
