Make your favorite Kapuso stars number one by voting for them in this year's 2012 Yahoo! OMG! Philippines Awards.
Kapuso stars vie in 20 categories in this year’s Yahoo OMG! Awards, which is based on the trending metric or most-searched celebrities in theYahoo! Philippines Search Engine. The winners for each category are the most voted stars by the online community in the Yahoo! Poll that will run until tomorrow, Thursday, June 28.
Primetime king Dingdong Dantes is leading the pack of Kapuso nominees for the Actor of the Year category while Kapuso royalty Marian Rivera and Makapiling Kang Muli lead actress Carla Abellana are both nominated for the Actress of the Year category.
Alluring stars Marian Rivera and Bubble Gang comedienne Sam Pinto are nominees for the Celebrity of the Year, while Kap’s Amazing Storieshost Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. contends for the Celebrity with Major Impact award.
On and off-screen sweethearts Dingdong and Marian are also nominated in the IT Couple of the Year category.
Meanwhile, the captivating duo of Elmo Magalona and Julie Anne San Jose and young flick Jake Vargas and Bea Binene are nominated for the Love Team of the Year category.
Elmo and Julie Ann, the lead cast of the newest Sunday afternoon show Together Forever are also nominated for the Male and Female Singer of the Year categories. They are also set to star in the romantic flick Just One Summer, set to be released this August.
Aside from the stars, fan clubs are also contenders in the Yahoo! OMG! Awards. DongYan (Dingdong-Marian) and JulieElmo (Julie Anne-Elmo) circles are nominated for the Fans Club of the Year category.
One True Love lead actor Alden Richards is nominated for the Breakthrough Actor of the Year award, while beautiful Kapuso actresses Rhian Ramos and Lovi Poe contend for the Breakthrough Actress category.
Elmo and Biag ni Lam-Ang lead actor Rocco Nacino are both nominated for the Most Promising Actor category, while talented and pretty stars Bella Padilla and Bea Binene are nominated for the Most Promising Actress award.
Kapuso singer-songwriter and comedian of Bubble Gang, lead star of the early Telebabad series My Daddy Dearest and Boy Pick-up: The MovieOgie Alcasid, is nominated for the Comedian of the Year category, along with other Kapuso quipsters Vic Sotto, Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola.
Boy Pick-Up: The Movie ravishing lead actress Solenn Heusaff and Dramarama sa Hapon princess Kylie Padilla vie for the Best Female Newcomer category.
Luna Blanca youngster and lead actress Mona Lousie Rey, who was first known via the hit family primetime drama Munting Heredera, competes for the Child Star of the Year award.
Longest running variety show Eat Bulaga hosts and My Daddy Dearest cast Pauleen Luna and 24 Oras anchor and Showbiz Central host Pia Guanio are both nominated for the Favorite Female TV host award, while hosting master Vic Sotto is nominated for the Favorite Male TV host category.
Meanwhile, 2011 comedy-drama film by Chris Martinez Temptation Island is also nominated for the Movie of the Year category.
Kapuso’s flagship FM radio station Barangay LS 97.1, among the listeners’ top picks in Mega Manila, is also a step closer on being the Best FM Radio Station of the Year.
