Only the best for award-winning actress Bea Alonzo.

GMA Network held a grand contract signing for the one and only Bea Alonzo, this Thursday afternoon July 1 at the Edsa Shangri-La, Manila in Mandaluyong City.

Several GMA-7 executives even trooped to the luxury hotel to personally witness the signing of the contract of Bea.

In a recorded message, GMA Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon was thrilled to welcome Bea and for the upcoming projects of the brilliant actress with her new home network.

Atty. Gozon said, “Welcome to GMA, Bea!

“We are pleased that you are now a Kapuso and because you are undoubtedly one of the best actresses of your generation, I'm sure that there will be plenty of opportunities for you here at GMA.

“Your fans will be thrilled to see the projects that we have lined up for you.”

Meanwhile, GMA Films President Atty. Anna Teresa “Annette” M. Gozon-Valdes, who personally attended the event, described Bea as one of the best of her generation.

She shared, “Bea is one of the best actresses of her generation. We already know what she can offer in drama, romance, and even in comedy. So we're very excited for her new and upcoming projects in GMA. I'm sure her fans are very happy and excited as well.”

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Yalong told Bea's fans that they should expect great things from her now that she's a Kapuso.

“Hi Bea! I'm sure your fans are excited for your new programs in GMA, there's a lot in store for you and we hope that you are also excited to be part of our Family.”

For his part, President and Chief Operating Officer Mr. Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr. was asked to give a message, who joined the grand event via video conference and praised Bea Alonzo for her professionalism and her commitment to honing her craft.

He said, “Well to say that we are all very pleased and excited na nabibilang ka ngayon [sa GMA] would be such an understatement.

“We are all very pleased, very happy that you are now a Kapuso at tulad ng nabanggit mo kanina na ito ay isang mahalagang desisyon sa buhay mo kaming lahat ay nagpapasalamat sa'yo sa tiwalang ibinigay mo sa amin.”

Joining the event via Zoom were First Vice President and Head of International Operations Joseph Francia, Senior Vice President for Corporate Strategic Planning and Business Development, Chief Risk Officer and Head of Program Support Regie Bautista, and Bea's manager Shirley Kuan.

After Mr. Duavit's message, Bea couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with such amazing support and warm reception from her Kapuso family.

She described this moment as “surreal” but is extremely grateful for the whole network for making her feel so special today.

According to Bea, “Sa totoo lang kung magiging honest ako surreal itong nangyayari.

“Sa totoo lang po hindi ko maipaliwanag kung ano talaga 'yung nararamdaman ko ngayon, parang I'm excited, I'm nervous, I'm scared, I'm so happy all rolled into one.

“Doon sa mga mensahe ng mga Kapuso star and our Kapuso bosses talagang napakasaya ng puso ko ngayon and I know that this day will be very special but hindi ko akalain na gagawin ganitong ka-espesyal and thank you for making me feel valued and loved ngayon pa lang. Salamat po!”

With the news that she's officially a Kapuso, the #ProudToBEAKapuso quickly became the most-talked about topic on Twitter Philippines.
