Christian Bautista on the upcoming musical narrative series 'Still': "Ang ganda ganda ng music. I can wait for you to hear all of it."

"Where do we go when the world comes to a standstill?"

This is a stirring question shown in the newly-released teaser of the upcoming musical narrative series Still, top billed by Kapuso singers Julie Anne San Jose and Christian Bausita, with Gab Pangilinan and Bituin Escalante.

The 15-second video simply shows a board with post-its and pictures tucked in it, accompanied by heartwarming music interpreted by the cast.

Produced by Viu Philippines, Still is inspired by the many challenges imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. It follows the characters who navigate through music amid being under a lockdown.

Still is the brainchild of award-winning creators Pat Valera, Giancarlo Abrahan, Nicco Manalo, Monter Jimenez, and Treb Monteras.

The music and lyrics of the songs were composed by gifted artists and songwriters Nica Del Rosario, Mike Shimamoto, and Matthew Chang.

GMANetwork.com spoke to one of its main leads, Christian, recently during his contract renewal with GMA. The romantic balladeer is extremely pleased and happy talking about the series.

He excitedly uttered, "Ang ganda ganda ng music. I can wait for you to hear all of it.

"It felt cathartic na parang nando'n kaming lahat na artists kasi it's a lockdown series, e.

"Parang what are the things that are going on with the heads of the artists during the lockdown and to process that and to sing it, it's so powerful."

Christian, along with other cast members, took a bubble taping for Still that lasted for a month.

Still also stars multi-talented up-and-coming artists Abe Autea, Lance Reblando, Mike Shimamoto, and Gabby Padilla.

"It's challenging 'cause you are away from the world pero, at the same time, super hyperfocused lang ang actors sa kanyang characters.

"I felt I was back in the theater, talagang ando'n lang kami to do our best with the work and we also became close inside of that bubble as well," said the 39-year-old singer-actor.

The Clash Season 4

Besides Still, Christian is also excited for the new season of Kapuso singing competition The Clash.

Here, Christian is renewed to be one of its judges. His Still co-star, Julie Anne, on the other hand, will return as the show's Clash Master together with Rayver Cruz.

Christian said, "I am looking to The Clash Season 4 kasi we're coming in na people are saying na post-pandemic world na in some countries, the vaccines are rolling in, parang there is a lot of hope now that is building.

"Kung 'yung last year parang sa'n na tayo pupunta and then last year we still managed to go with The Clash Season 3 and produce Jessica Villarubin, help her family then there's this surge now of countries reopening.

"I wonder what it would look like. I wonder how the contestant will feel, will perform now, kung anong energy 'yon, man, I'm so excited for that.

"I think mas palaban ang mangyayari, I think mas maraming tayong makikitang talent and artist who will do everything that they can to be there on stage."
