Shaira Diaz

The talented Kapuso star discovered her love for volleyball at an early age.

Kapuso actress Shaira Diaz recently took time off from her busy schedule to visit the set of Rise Up Stronger: NCAA Season 96.

Shaira was invited by the variety-sports program to judge a talent competition featuring student-athletes playing in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

The Kapuso actress is multi-talented herself, the reason why she was picked by the show to judge the participants.

Incidentally, Shaira is a student of the NCAA member school, University of Perpetual Help.

Shaira revealed to the show's hosts Sophia Senoron and Martin Javier that she once dreamed of becoming a varsity player for volleyball.

“Nag-start ako [to play volleyball] parang Grade 4 pa lang ako. Nagsimula 'yan muna sa catch and throw [game],” Shaira vividly recalled.

As for her dream of becoming a student-athlete, Shaira said, “Actually, pangarap ko talaga 'yan dati.

Good thing Shaira still gets to play volleyball at campus tournaments and Physical Education (PE) classes.

Shaira also proudly shared her newfound skills, thanks to the GMA informative show iBilib.

Shaira co-host the program with Roadfill and retired basketball star Chris Tiu.
