My Roommate is a Gumiho actor Jang Ki-yong will be enlisting for his mandatory military service duties on August 23.

According to Soompi, Jang Ki-yong's agency YG entertainment announced that the actor will be enlisting in the army.

"Actor Jang Ki-yong will enlist as an active duty soldier on August 23 after concluding filming for his drama 'Now, We Are Breaking Up.' To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the location and time of his enlistment will not be revealed," YG Entertainment stated.

"This was an inevitable decision made for the safety of fans and reporters, so we ask for your understanding. Please show support for Jang Ki-yong as he diligently completes his mandatory service and returns in good health," Jang Ki-yong's agency added.

Jang Ki-yong is currently filming for his upcoming drama Now, We Are Breaking Up with Descendants of the Sun actress Song Hye-kyo.

In addition, Jang Ki-yong's upcoming drama Now, We Are Breaking Up will tell the stories of emotional love and breakups. He will play the male lead Yoon Jae-guk, a wealthy and popular freelance photographer who also has the brains and looks.
