Kokoy de Santos becomes teary-eyed as he thanks Elijah Canlas

From being an online web series, Gameboys has come a long way as it is now a movie and one of its lead stars, Kokoy de Santos, became teary-eyed as he thanked his partner in the show, Elijah Canlas.

During the virtual media conference of Gameboys: The Movie on July 30, the Pepito Manaloto: Ang Unang Kuwento star thanked Elijah for being a friend more than a co-star.

He said, "Jelo, salamat. Sobrang salamat sa pagiging isang mabuting kaibigan, hindi lang katrabaho.

"Wala, hindi na kita matawag na katrabaho kasi alam mo naman na lahat tungkol sa akin.

"Thank you, sobrang thankful ako. Forever ako magiging thankful hindi lang dahil sa Gameboys kung hindi dahil sa'yo din dahil ikaw 'yung buhay ko rito sa Gameboys.

"Salamat. Love you."

In response, Elijah said that he was proud of Kokoy in everything that they have done together, and in everything that they will do.

He replied, "Baby, proud ako sa'yo. Sobrang proud.

"Grabe ang performance na binuhos mo sa pelikulang 'to, and nakaka-proud kasi nandoon tayo nung ginagawa natin 'yung mga eksenang 'yon tapos nakita natin na buo siya ngayon.

"Tapos marami pa tayong makikita sa second season and excited ako, proud ako, at nagpapasalamat ako sayo sa tiwala, sa pagmamahal.

"Salamat. Love you rin!"

In Gameboys: The Movie, Kokoy de Santos and Elijah Canlas reprise their roles as Cairo and Gavreel, respectively.

Joining them are Adrianna So, Kyle Velino, Miggy Jimenez, and Kych Minemoto.
