Rita Daniela's fans are in for a treat as the actress/singer is set to release her new EP (extended player) very soon.

The talented Kapuso star revealed her new project on her live video on GMA Network's Instagram account on August 6.

According to Rita, she self-penned all the singles in her EP in collaboration with musical director and producer Adonis Tabanda.

"Definitely, you saw na pictures of me with Kuya Adonis Tabanda and, unti-unti, we're really trying to make like an EP kahit three to five songs lang pero madami na nga 'yung five.

"So watch out for it and, definitely, it is all-original and composed and written by me so please do support me and I hope you are all excited like me," she said.

Rita has not shared further details about her upcoming EP but her fans already expressed their excitement for their idol's new music project.

Even Adonis feels delighted to create music with Rita as he fondly shared snaps from his recording session with the actress/singer.

"Creative night with my dear @missritadaniela. Exciting things to come in the future," the music and vocal arranger, and composer wrote in his Instagram post.

Rita is currently part of GMA afternoon drama series Ang Dalawang Ikaw where she plays the lead female character, opposite Ken Chan.

She is also a mainstay of the weekly variety show All-Out Sundays where she performs with Kapuso vocal powerhouses like Lani Misalucha, Aicelle Santos, Julie Anne San Jose, and Jessica Villarubin.

Rita is a product of 2005 QTV kiddie singing competition Popstar Kids where she was hailed as its first-ever winner.

Together with other Popstar Kids finalists, they formed a singing group called Sugarpop which became active from 2006 to 2010.
