Julie Anne San Jose's cover of 'Kung Wala Ka' makes impressive debut on iTunes

Julie Anne San Jose's rendition of the classic ballad “Kung Wala Ka” landed on the Top 3 of iTunes Philippines Chart immediately after its release on Friday (August 20).

“Kung Wala Ka” was written and originally recorded by the band Hale as part of their hit eponymous debut album in 2005.

Julie Anne's cover, produced by Universal Records, is now available in various streaming platforms such as Spotify New Music Friday, Apple Music Absolute OPM, Apple Music OPM Slider, and Youtube Music New Release Mix.

A self-confessed “old soul” when it comes to music, Julie Anne has a soft spot for the classics and she cites Hale's “Kung Wala Ka” as one of her favorite OPM tunes from the early 2000s.

This latest achievement is another feather to Julie Anne's cap.

Last month, Julie Anne has been featured on a billboard in Times Square in New York City, USA.

The billboard was for Spotify's EQUAL campaign, which encourages users to listen to amazing women all around the world.

Julie Anne is also gearing up for another big project in the form Limitless, A Musical Trilogy.

The three-part musical journey will highlight Julie Anne's versatility as a singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, and multi-instrumentalist.

Serving as Julie Anne's backdrop are the beautiful locations found in Mindanao, Visayas, and Luzon.

The launching of its trailer was well-received and even trended on Twitter.

Part one of the musical trilogy, titled “Breathe,” will premiere on September 17.
