Mikael Daez proud to renew contract with GMA Artist Center
Mikae Daez remained a Kapuso as he renewed his contract with GMA Artist Center today (August 26) through a virtual contract signing.
Present during the contract signing were Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth Rasonable, Senior Assistant Vice President for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara, Assistant Vice President for Talent Imaging and Marketing Simoun Ferrer, and Mikael's manager Elizabeth Alviar-Vidanes.
Also in attendance via Zoom were First Vice President for Drama Redgie A. Magno, Senior Assistant Vice President for Drama Cheryl Ching Sy, GMA Artist Center Senior Talent Manager Vic Del Rosario, First Vice President and Head of GMA Regional TV and Synergy Oliver B. Amoroso, and Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Communications Angela Javier Cruz.
In an online interview with the press, Mikael said that he is "extremely happy and thankful" to continue his showbiz journey with the management.
"Extremely, extremely happy and extremely thankful. Sa totoo lang hindi ko alam na tatagal ako ng ganitong katagal sa industriyang ito. And for me to be part of GMA where I've developed a family na, I have friends," Mikael said.
"Buong buhay ko, to be honest with you, is centered on GMA especially for the last 11 years," he added. "So para sa akin na pwedeng ipagpatuloy lang 'to with the family I first formed in this industry malaking bagay talaga para sa akin."
Mikael added that he has grown so much as an actor for the past 11 years with GMA.
"I've definitely grown so much. Sa totoo lang I've started zero, like literal zero. Zero skills, zero knowledge and it started with the workshops that GMA gave me, and it grew also when they started giving me different roles.
"They trusted me to go into heavy drama, they trusted me to go into sitcoms, into Bubble Gang. They trusted me to start hosting and doing events for them. So as an actor and just as a professional, as a talent, ang laking bagay na iba't ibang projects 'yung nabigay sa akin because it allowed me to grow and explore different parts of myself."
