The entertainment industry is mourning the death of iconic celebrity photographer and visual artist Raymund Isaac, who passed away on September 4, Saturday.

The sad news was reportedly confirmed by Raymund's younger brother, Edward Isaac, to his friends on Facebook.

Edward wrote, “To those who prayed with us in different parts of the world for Raymund, thank you. He will be missed by many most of our family and those he touched.”

Last July 24, Raymund revealed that he was hospitalized in San Francisco due to COVID-19. He said he was rushed to the California Pacific Medical Center due to dropping oxygen levels.

Raymund also asked for prayers in the said Facebook post as he was in isolation and his partner, Jayson Vicente, was not allowed to see him.

He said it was “scary to be in a place where you don't know anyone.”

Jayson constantly gave updates on Raymund's condition on his Facebook account.

On August 1, Jayson said that Raymund was transferred to the intensive care unit (ICU) because his oxygen levels needed to be strictly monitored.

Then on August 6, Jayson said that despite being allowed to visit Raymund, the ace photographer's oxygen level dropped and his pneumonia had not been resolved.

The medical team was also forced to intubated and sedate Raymund as he continued to be anxious and won't sleep.

Aside from giving updates on Raymund's condition, Jayson also made an important announcement a few days before his partner passed away.

Jayson revealed that he and Raymund tied the knot on July 15, only a week before he was rushed to the hospital.

Jayson's last update on Raymund was on August 28, and on September 4, the sad news broke and spread quickly on social media.

Since then, several celebrities, colleagues, and supporters have expressed their sympathy and paid tribute to the late photography icon.

Raymund Isaac was born on June 28, 1962 and studied in New York. He began his career as a celebrity photographer when he returned to the Philippines.

He started out as a fashion editorial photographer and later on ventured into beauty and advertising photography.

Raymund's works have also been showcased in international publications and he received a number of citations and awards, including winning the Beauty and Fashion Category in American Photo Magazine for four consecutive years.

The 59-year-old photography icon also ventured into other creative endeavors such as authoring his own books and books of celebrities such as Judy Ann Santos and Piolo Pascual.

Raymund was also a content writer, producer and strategist, and was a live stream producer and host.
