Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha actor, Kim Seon-ho may soon be making his big-screen debut in the new film Sad Tropical.

According to reports from Naver entertainment, the Korean actor has been recently coordinating the details of the casting offer to appear in the film that Director Park Hoon-jung (New World, V.I.P., The Witch) is preparing.

Sad Tropical is a story about a man who has a Korean father and a Filipino mother. He dreams of becoming a boxer and soon comes to Korea to find his father who abandoned him. In his quest to find his father, he will meet bad guys that will put him in troubling situations.

At this writing, there is no actual confirmation about Kim Seon-ho's appearance. If the actor decides to accept the offer, this will be his first movie and he will be playing a half-Filipino character. Will the production be filming in the Philippines? That's something we all have to wait to find out.

Kim Seon-ho began his career on TV in the 2017 Korean drama Good Manager and rose to prominence as Han Ji-pyeong in the hit 2020 television series Start-Up. He is also a mainstay cast member on the South Korean reality-variety show 2 Days and 1 Night.

Recently, it has been reported that Kapuso primetime queen Marian Rivera will portray the role of Kim Seon-ho's Filipino mother in the film. Marian has not yet given an official answer to this issue.
