Rayver Cruz shares battle with COVID-19; stresses importance of getting vaccinated

By Aaron Brennt Eusebio

Kapuso actor Rayver Cruz explained why he was absent these past few months in GMA's Sunday variety show All-Out Sundays and it's not because he went on a vacation.

Rayver admitted that he had contracted COVID-19, and battled the virus for three months.

In an interview with Nelson Canlas of 24 Oras, he shared that few people knew that he was sick.

Wala lang kasi masyadong nakakaalam pero I had it."

He added "Noong time na 'yun, nakakalungkot, na-down din ako.

He shared his battle with the virus and said "'Yun likod ko 'yung unang sumakit, e, 'yung lower back ko hanggang pataas.

Rayver said that he needed to drive himself to the hospital because of his symptoms and admitted that he was afraid of what will happen to him especially since he was facing it alone.

Pag biglang nag-drop 'yung oxygen mo or kung ano man mangyari, walang magsusugod sa akin kaagad-agad, e. Ako ang nagdala sa akin [sa ospital]."

Now that he has fully recovered, the Nagbabagang Luha actor and The Clash host encouraged everyone to get vaccinated.

He ended the interview with this message, "Important din na sana lahat tayo makapagpagbakuna na.
