By Ron Lim

BTS has sprung a surprise on ARMYs all over the globe after announcing on YouTube less than four hours ago that they will be holding "Permission to Dance On Stage in LA," an in-person concert at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

The four performances will be held on November 27, November 28, December 1, and December 2.

In the minute-long clip, the band members also said that they had been itching to tell their fans about the news for some time now.

After posting the video, an announcement was also sent out on the Weverse fan platform sharing more information about the concert as well as an ARMY member presale application guide.

Fans with memberships in the ARMY fan club can apply for the ticket presale starting today, 7 am (Philippine Time) until October 2.

Eligible fans who had tickets to BTS' canceled Map of the Soul tour were also emailed codes that would allow them to buy tickets early.

In the Weverse announcement, BigHit Music explained that they decided to hold the four-day concert after considering national and regional health regulations and circumstances.

The agency also apologized for being unable to hold more concerts in more areas and promised to do their best to put on additional shows.

While BTS has staged a number of online performances since the pandemic began, they have so far been unable to stage an in-person event. Permission to Dance On Stage in LA will be the first time for the group to do so since 2019's "Love Yourself: Speak Yourself" (The Final) in Seoul.

The four-day concert is just the latest in the band's always packed schedule. The group recently released a collaborative single with Coldplay titled “My Universe,” along with an “Inside My Universe” documentary that showed the two group's working process.

The documentary currently has more than 8 million views.

While waiting for the concert, check out the concept photos for BTS' “Butter” CD version in the gallery below.
