
Tracy Maureen Perez revealed that she faced several challenges before she won the Miss World Philippines 2021 crown.
In an online interview with Lhar Santiago, Tracy shared that joining a pageant takes a lot of time and effort.
"I spent all my time and effort, all the training. I came here to Manila very early in the year."

The Cebuana beauty queen said she went to Manila as early as February 2021 to prepare for the pageant.
"I was here since last February to start training for Miss World Philippines screening and for all the Miss World Philippines activities."
Tracy continued, "As a probinsyana, it's hard for [me] to just come here to Manila. It's very costly, I have to be honest."
To win a title and to represent her hometown is a dream come true for Tracy. She joined different pageants but admitted at that time, she was not well-prepared.
"I also joined two national pageants before. This is actually my third time trying to get the crown for my hometown. In the past two years, I felt like it was the biggest thing that I lack-- I lack preparation."
For the Miss World Philippines 2021 pageant, she knew that she had to gear up to win the crown. On October 4, her dream came true.
"Everything had to be prepared. There were so many sacrifices along the way but I'm just really happy that everything finally paid off."
When asked if she was expecting to win the crown. She answered, "I was hoping, yes. I was really hoping that I would win. I was very vocal that I wanted Miss World Philippines crown.
"I've been dreaming and working hard for this, I'm just very grateful and very happy that I finally got it po."
Tracy shared that she just waited for the results as she has already given her best to win the crown.
"I was hoping. I was just really letting go of anything. I just let God do his work because I know that I have already given my all."
