The 70th edition of the prestigious pageant will be held in Eilat, Israel.
The stage is set for the 70th Miss Universe pageant.
On Wednesday, October 27, the Miss Universe organization announced that the pageant's coronation night will take place on December 12, at 7:00 p.m. ET (December 13, 8:00 a.m., Philippine time).
Hosting this year's event is the resort town of Eilat in Israel.
Israeli singer, actress, and TV host Noa Kirel will be performing, the announcement said.
Back to host the special event is Steve Harvey, who skipped the previous edition of the pageant staged in April this year.
Steve first hosted the Miss Universe coronation event in 2015, with Philippine bet Pia Wurtzbach winning the crown in controversial fashion.
Reigning Miss Universe Andrea Meza of Mexico will be present to crown her successor.
Representing the Philippines this year is Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City.
