January was born on February 20, 1976 and studied at the School of Richard Brander Acting in Los Angeles, California. In 2005, January earned a bachelor's degree in Production Design. Aside from acting, she has a double black belt in Taekwondo and Aikido.
Far from her motherly and sweet persona as Lumen, January is a good stunt man. She also appeared in the action film 'Burador' in 1999 and in an American-produced movie shot in the Philippines titled 'Doomsdayer' in 2000, where she played the role of Dyna Castaneda.
In Cagayan de Oro City, one of her favorite past time is riding a horse.
