As the world continues to return to normalcy, movie theaters around the country slowly began to open to the delight of Filipino cinephiles, who missed seeing movies on the big screen for almost two years.

Now, another good news has come, especially for the fans of Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards and New Generation Movie Queen Bea Alonzo, as Viva Entertainment executive Vincent Del Rosario confirmed that their movie will begin shooting in November.

According to Sir Vincent, they waited for the health restrictions to be eased before the start of the shooting.

The Alden-Bea movie, which will be the Philippine adaptation of the 2001 Japanese series Pure Soul, will now carry the title Special Memory, which will be released in 2022.

Pure Soul is also the same source of the hit 2004 Korean movie A Moment To Remember, starring Crash Landing On You actress Son Ye-jin and Jung Woo-sung.

Sir Vincent added, "But now, 'yung na-ease up 'yung restrictions, I think we'll see a well-crafted movie."

Special Memory revolves around a couple whose relationship would be tested when the woman gets diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease.

The movie is a joint venture of Viva Films, GMA Pictures, and APT Entertainment.

Special Memory is directed by Nuel Naval, with the screenplay written by Mel Del Rosario.
