Remember child star Lady Lee?

A Filipino news program in Canada recently tracked down the now 36-year-old former Eat Bulaga mainstay.

In its report, OMNI Filipino and former Kapuso broadcaster Rhea Santos showed glimpses of Lady Lee's life in Canada as a Culinary Arts student at Vancouver Community College (VCC).

She also has a part-time job to support her studies and living expenses.

“Canada is a very good country that accepts international students without any discriminations,” she said.

“So, I'm really thankful and grateful po na I was given this opportunity to study and work as well.”

Lady Lee is married and with two kids, and hopes to bring her family to Canada soon.

“I'm just praying na sooner or later, makapunta po sila rito. Actually, naiiyak ako sa mga ganyang bagay. But yes, it's normal,” said Lady Lee, whose real name is Cristina Edrosa Lee.

Lady Lee, though, is trying to be strong by keeping her eye on their goal as a family.

And I want the best for my children.”

Lady Lee entered show business at a young age after winning first runner-up in Eat Bulaga's “Little Miss Philippines.”

She would join the noontime show shortly after as one of its mainstays together with Ice Seguerra.

Lady Lee crossed over to the movies and did several TV shows before gradually stepping away from the limelight to give her studies more time and attention.

Meanwhile, here are some of our local celebrities who left show business to settle abroad.
