John Lloyd Cruz's romantic life is far from his movies and he's happy to have it that way.

John Lloyd Cruz's movie characters have influenced every girl's picture of a dream guy. But in real life, his love affairs were far from the movies he did. Nonetheless, the ultimate leading man is still proud to have loved and lost and learned.

In his recent guest appearance on Kupuso Mo Jessica Soho, John Lloyd was asked if he at least knew why his past attempts at love failed.

He replied, "Mahirap sagutin 'yung bakit, pero ang maganda doon is totoo yung buhay ko, hindi siya buhay na isang pelikula lang."

He added, "Sana alam ko yung sagot. Definitely, it takes two to tango definitely nagkulang ako sa bawat pagkakataon sa bawat isa sa kanila. Kung hindi naman nararapat eh bakit natin ipipilit baka hindi pa din siguro akma."

John Lloyd had a string of showbiz's most beautiful women for his ex-girlfriends.

Among them were Kay Abad, Ciara Sotto, Liz Uy, Shaina Magdayao, Ruffa Gutierrez, Angelica Panganiban and, most recently, Ellen Adarna, mother of his son Elias. Ellen just tied the knot with Derek Ramsay.

After his showbiz hiatus, John Lloyd says he is in a much better and more peaceful place now. He is simply allowing life to unfold while holding on to his real person stronger than ever.

John Lloyd has officially debuted his television return to GMA Network and is slated to do projects with various Kapuso stars.
